I spoke with Svitlana, and she said I should try massage therapy treatments. I took her advice and started the treatment. After my first session I noticed a big difference, so I continued going there for massage therapy.

I was referred to Astra Healthcare as I was experiencing neck and shoulder pain from sitting for hours everyday at work. My first session was with Larissa RMT and it was fantastic! Not only she share a wealth of information with me, but she was very professional. She took the time to recommend different ways of improving my posture and taught me different exercises to help strengthen my back. Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to my next session!

Many years ago, I developed a predisposition for forming blood clots and have experienced 5 deep vein thrombosis ("DVT") events.  I am the only person in my large family who has such a condition. 

Over time, I have met with various specialists in the hope that a cause could be found.  The latest doctor admonished me that I should be wearing "support stockings".  The image that resulted from that exchange did not appeal to me.

Coincidentally, I was introduced to the owner of Astra Healthcare by a mutual friend.  She took a lot of time to explain to me that what I would be wearing would look just like the executive, to-the-knee, socks that I favoured except that support hose are specially designed and manufactured to apply different levels of pressure to the foot, ankle and calf.

In due course, I was carefully measured and the product was provided with detailed instruction for putting them on and for long term care of the garment.

While the good doctor was undeniably fabulous in his field, his "bed-side manner" needed some refining.  Thanks to Astra, I have been wearing support socks for many years and can happily report that I have not had a DVT event in that time.

I recently visited Astra Healthcare hoping to find something that would help relieve the nagging wrist pain I was experiencing.
