•Put your compression stocking on first thing in the morning after getting out of the bed, before swelling might occur.
•your skin needs to be dry or have a thin layer of cornstarch or powder applied for an easier application of the garments.
•Don't forget to remove rings and jewelry and wear rubber gloves to prevent fingernails from damaging the garment. Also rubber gloves gives you a better grip to put the garment on
•You need to spread the fabric evenly using the rubber gloves working upward.
•Don’t “roll” or “gather” or “bunch up” the fabric, which makes it difficult to put the garment on.
•In the evening when you take your garment off, use of a moisturizing cream or lotion on your skin would be a good idea.
•Hand wash, air dry helps the compression garments last longer.
